Meet the Dogs
Meet some of our regulars

Rory
Rory, Rory Borealis, Bumblebee, Rory Proudbottom the 1st, Thunderpaws… the list of nicknames goes on!
Rory enjoys an early morning walk on the beach, or a play session with his besties in Bremeny School for Dogs, his home away from home. Following his breakfast, The Prince of Persia retires to Mammy’s bed for an hour or five of r’n’r. In the evening he’s trained Mama and Papa to hold his favourite chews in either hands- his buffalo and stag horns. He is not a fan of wet grass, or rain of any sort for that matter. He enjoys the finer things in life.
Rory is a pure peata, the definition of unconditional love, and he completes our family!

Louie
Louie or “Lou”, “Loubot”, “Louster”, “Moloolaba”, “Puppy” or “Leave it!” as he’s commonly referred to, is a super-friendly golden retriever who loves human and doggie attention alike. He loves a bit of craic, especially with his pals in Bremeny School for Dogs. Once he arrives into Daycare, he doesn’t stop playing until he crashes on the couch later that evening.
Louie loves to go for walks and his humans need to be careful not to mention the “W” word in his company unless a walk is on the cards. He loves to splash about in the water and has a special grá for sticks. However he has still to master the finer art of his breed – he’s yet not fond of swimming and although he will bound across meadows in pursuit of a thrown stick, he’d rather hunker down and chew on it than bring it back to his humans.

Biba
Biba has been with Bremeny School for Dogs since day one and has known and loved the staff since she was a wee puppy!
Biba has so many favourite things that get her tail wagging furiously and have her spinning in circles, but top of the list would have to be long walks on the beach and rolling around in the sand until she is completely covered in it! Biba is a friend to all animals (once she can sniff them), she has been known to make friends with the neighbourhood cats and even a pigeon once! A homing Pigeon got lost and spent a few days in our back garden last year. Biba loved going out into the garden every day and following him around, sniffing him and trying to get him to play with her, unfortunately for Biba, it was a case of unrequited love!
Biba loves her sleep so she isn’t a morning doggo but she soon perks up when we drop her to daycare to play with all her friends!

Tebow
Tebow (a.k.a. “Stitch”) is technically a Frenchie, but bears a resemblance to a member of the Walrus family. Though born in Wexford, Tebow is a Galway man through and through.
Tebow’s personality can be best described as unique. Like his female human, he is very, very stubborn and, like his male human, loves his food. Little T has many loves… his teddy bears are his life. They are named after politicians… we have Leo (Varadkar), Donald (Trump), Macron, Borris (Johnson) and, unfortunately Nicola (Sturgeon) who succumbed to injuries shortly after meeting Tebow . Tebow is also a huge fan of the snow and loves bouncing around in it. He loves Bremeny School for Dogs, all his friends there and the staff, but has a huge soft spot for his Fairy Dog-Mother Paula and his girlfriend Lexie Shepard.
His dislikes include… cameras, tin foil , frying pans, exercise, getting up early, the postman (we agree… he brings bills!) and getting collected too early from Bremeny School for Dogs.
The funniest (/boldest) thing Tebow has done as a puppy was redecorating his granny’s house by tearing up one of the carpets to expose the natural floor boards. What a visionary – Dermot Bannon, watch out!

Kobi
Kobi (a.k.a. “Kobster”, “Kobus Maximus” or “Mr. Fluffy Bottom”) is the apple of our eye. He is good-looking and he knows it – and we love him for it.
He puts a smile on our face every day with his antics but he is so mannerly at the same time thanks to Paula, Fraser and Denise. The real tester of this has been the introduction of two Bengal Kittens to our family. Something everyone thought would be a disaster, but he is so gentle with them, (he actually thinks they are his babies 🙈) all from his interactions at Bremeny School for Dogs.

Bobby
Bobby met his Bremeny family when he was just a puppy and fell in love with them from day one. The wagging tail and face-licking that happened on that first day still happens with just as much enthusiasm today – which tells its own story
Bobby was christened “Crazy Bobby” by his Bremeny family and he never fails to live up to it (apart from when he’s asleep ). He loves playing with other dogs and the bigger the better… hence the name
! He loves chasing/retrieving balls with our neighbours dog and regularly can be seen giving the dog the run-around with the ball in his mouth
.
He looooves lap-time and never misses the opportunity to snuggle up. He’s currently playing big “brother” to our 10 month old baby boy and Bobby’s favourite thing is cleaning baby’s face after he has had his bottle ! He was and always will be our first baby

Darcy
Darcy, or Mr. Darcy as we call him, sometimes has the most adorable personality. He’s been with the Bremeny School for Dogs team since he was a very young pup, and quite honestly I think they were a major part of his personality formation.
His most adorable trait is his gratefulness. He thanks you for everything. He can be bold, in that every garden he comes across on his walks, he steals the kid’s football. Or when there’s a football match on, he’s in the middle before I can blink an eye.

Kevin
This is Kevin (aka Kevin Costner Jr./Bucko/Stinky Winky/Mr. McGoo) and he is a pure bred West Highland Terrier. Kevin is confident, brave, extremely curious, stubborn, full of beans and bright as a button.
He’s usually too busy for cuddles, but when he gets tired after a long day causing mischief, he likes a snuggle. He loves playing with all his friends at Bremeny School for Dogs. Kevin’s favourite things are running free in wide open spaces, playing with other doggies or humans and barking!
